How we price
Every price on this site comes from live eBay UK listings, checked once a day. Here's exactly what we do with them.
Asking prices, not sold prices
eBay doesn't give us sold prices for all these listings, so every figure here is an asking price including postage. Bags often sell for a little less, especially when the seller takes offers. Use our numbers to compare listings, not as a guarantee of what a bag will sell for.
How we match a listing to a bag
We track 356 entries from 24 brands. Each listing's title is matched to a brand, a model and, where the seller says, a size. Listings that don't match a named model go to that brand's "other bags" page, and they don't get a deal score, because those bags aren't comparable with each other.
What we filter out
Wallets, card holders, belts, shoes and other items that aren't bags. Straps, inserts, charms and other add-ons. Anything that calls itself a replica, a dupe or "inspired by". Bags sold for spares or repair. Prices below a floor for each brand, and Buy It Now prices below 35% of the middle price for that bag and condition, which are almost always parts or fakes.
How a typical price is worked out
For each model and size, we split Buy It Now listings by eBay's condition grade: new, excellent, good and fair. With at least 4 listings in a grade, we take the middle price after removing outliers. Exotic skins, limited editions and collaborations don't count. If a better grade comes out cheaper than a worse one, the sample is too thin or mixed to split, so both use the pooled price.
How a deal is scored
A listing is scored against the typical price for its own model, size and condition. Auctions show the current bid with no score, because a low bid isn't a price. Anything 40% or more under typical is flagged "check carefully" and never counts as a deal or a saving.
How we read the details
Material, colour, hardware and year come from the title. The dust bag, box, card and receipt come from the title and the start of the seller's description. It's automatic and it can get things wrong, so check the listing and the photos before you buy.
Seller checks
A trusted seller is Top Rated on eBay, or has 98%+ positive feedback from at least 50 buyers. We flag sellers with fewer than 10 feedback, or with less than 97% positive.
Price history
We record the middle asking price for each bag each day. The charts start from the day we started tracking, and they get more useful as the record grows.
